Job Summary:
The ME M2 Manager is responsible for leading the Diffusion equipment engineering organization in F11. This role ensures equipment stability, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency to support high-volume manufacturing (HVM).
The position drives equipment reliability, defect reduction, and productivity improvement, while partnering closely with Process Engineering (PEE), Production, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Ownership & Reliability
- Own end-to-end performance of Diffusion equipment across F11
- Drive equipment uptime, MTBF/MTTR, and overall reliability to meet HVM targets
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance strategy development
- Ensure rapid troubleshooting, containment, and recovery for equipment issues
- Manage tool lifecycle, including installation, qualification, and decommissioning
2. Manufacturing Performance & Yield Support
- Partner with PEE and Production teams to ensure process stability and yield performance
- Drive defect reduction and excursion prevention initiatives
- Support technology ramp, process transfer, and capacity expansion
- Ensure equipment readiness to meet production output and cycle time targets
3. Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Lead productivity improvement initiatives (e.g., labor efficiency, tool utilization)
- Optimize maintenance strategy, spare parts management, and cost structure
- Identify and implement automation and digitalization opportunities
- Drive standardization and best practice deployment across sites
4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with EHS, quality systems, and internal/external audit requirements
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting equipment or process stability
- Lead containment and prevention actions for major equipment-related incidents
- Enforce adherence to engineering standards and operational discipline
5. Leadership & Organization Management
- Lead M1 managers and engineering teams within the Diffusion module
- Develop team capability, including technical depth and leadership pipeline
- Manage resource allocation, prioritization, and succession planning
- Act as key interface with cross-functional teams (PEE, Production, Facilities, Vendors)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or above in Engineering (EE / ME / Chemical Engineering or related field)
- Strong experience in Diffusion equipment (e.g., furnace, RTP, implant-related systems preferred)
- Proven leadership experience in semiconductor HVM equipment engineering
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
