MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.
We are seeking multiple Senior Data Developer professionals to join our growing team. You will help build and maintain the data platform that directly powers the MaintainX product and enables internal analytics, BI, and AI applications, while developing platform capabilities and tooling used by engineering teams daily. You will contribute across the data platform, including pipelines (batch and streaming), deployment, governance, and developer tooling.
What you’ll do:
Build and evolve the Databricks-based data platform used for product features, machine learning, and internal reporting
Design and develop reliable and scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines
Build platform abstractions and tooling that improve developer experience for data producers and consumers
Build platform capabilities that allow consumers to model raw data into clean, reliable datasets that power both product features and internal analytics
Improve observability, testing, and monitoring to ensure enterprise-grade reliability and performance
Manage and contribute to data governance, security, compliance, and access controls
Contribute to platform standards and architecture as the data platform scales
Collaborate with engineering, machine learning, product, and analytics teams to support their data use cases
About you:
5+ years of experience as a data engineer in a modern, production-grade cloud data platform (Databricks or similar equivalent)
Experience operating under ambiguity and making technical tradeoffs that balance velocity and value delivery with maintainability and technical debt
Strong Python and SQL skills
Experience with CDC pipelines
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure using IaC
Experience with event-streaming with Kafka and Flink (or similar data-streaming architectures)
Experience in query optimization, resource allocation and management, cost management, and data lake performance
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
An expert level of English, both spoken and written, is required, as the individual will need to lead platform engineering managers across multiple teams, present technical priorities to executive stakeholders, and align with engineering leaders outside Québec on a daily basis.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience building and implementing compliance and regulatory frameworks (ex: GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, FedRAMP)
Experience building frameworks to monitor and improve data quality and trustworthiness
Knowledge of semantic search and/or vector store infrastructure
Experience building AI-augmented data engineering workflows
Our mission is to keep the physical world running. Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build.
