The Opportunity:
We are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our growing team and support the design and delivery of diverse and challenging projects across Australia. With a strong focus on defence, buildings and infrastructure, you will work on significant projects throughout NSW, VIC, SA and WA, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and coordination of hydraulic systems including potable water, wastewater, stormwater, medical and industrial gases, and liquid fuel systems across commercial, industrial, transport and Defence infrastructure projects. You will apply sound engineering judgement to solve complex design challenges, manage competing requirements and deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to designers and developing engineers while contributing to project performance, efficiency and technical excellence. Your expertise will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects and the continued growth of our long-term client partnerships.
Who are you?
As a Senior Hydraulic Engineer in our buildings team, you will have experience in detailed designs, front end engineering design (FEED), consulting or complex engineering projects from the defence, commercial, education, water, industrial, transport or infrastructure sectors.
You will work with OEMs on product selection and installation but have the ability to customise and innovate, delivering unique solutions in challenging environments. Exposure to condition assessments, data sheets, safety processes, national standards and regulation will also be vital.
You will have the following skills and experience:
Design experience with knowledge of local industry standards and local codes across buildings, infrastructure or defence projects.
Substantial engineering design experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
Proven ability to work in engineering teams and manage projects to scope, budget and program.
Advanced skills with Revit are preferred.
You hold a hydraulic accreditation or have eligibility to apply for this accreditation.
Hold an accredited Bachelor of mechanical/civil engineering or hydraulic diploma.
