Job Summary
Under direct supervision, assigned daily work installs, services, and repairs climate control, refrigeration, and ventilation systems. They troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal energy efficiency, air quality, and temperature regulation in buildings. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities with other team members. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.

- Performs other duties and activities as required and directed.
- Testing & Calibration: Measure refrigerant levels, airflow, and pressure using specialized diagnostic tools to ensure systems run efficiently.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Individuals should possess thorough knowledge and have skills involving the inner workings of heating and cooling units, dryer maintenance as well as wiring, motors, pumps, switches, lights, fans and thermostats.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, parts usage, and hours worked
- Work will also involve lifting and moving heavy units.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires 2-5+ years of related experience of experience as HVAC Mechanic.
- Experience in maintenance of Washers and dryers, or large commercial Air conditioning plants and Chillers
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or college level certificate in relevant field
- EPA certified or equivalent.
- Physical & Technical Skills: Mechanical aptitude, the ability to read complex schematics, and physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Work Conditions: Often involves working outside in extreme temperatures, navigating emergency after-hours service calls, and responding to on-call schedules
- Must be fluent in English
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
- Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
