As an Associate Data Owner within Liquidity & Account Solutions, you will help ensure the quality, integrity, governance, and appropriate use of critical data assets that support business operations, analytics, and AI initiatives. Working closely with Data Product Managers, Data Architects, Technology teams, and business stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining trusted, compliant, and reusable data products across the organization. This is a hands-on data stewardship role focused on data quality, controls, governance, and operational execution within an assigned data domain.
Job responsibilities
- Support data governance, quality, integrity, and appropriate use within assigned data domains.
- Help ensure data is sourced from authoritative systems of record with clear lineage and provenance.
- Apply, monitor, and maintain data quality standards, controls, and reconciliation processes across data platforms.
- Identify, triage, and support resolution of data quality issues and control gaps.
- Support enforcement of data access controls and entitlements to ensure secure and compliant data usage.
- Assist in the development of governance documentation, terms of use, and data usage requirements.
- Partner with Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Architects, and business stakeholders throughout the data lifecycle.
- Maintain metadata, data lineage, and catalog information to improve data transparency and discoverability.
- Identify and escalate data risks, dependencies, and governance concerns.
- Contribute to governance forums, control evidence collection, and regulatory compliance activities.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 3+ years of experience within financial services, data management, or a data-intensive environment.
- Experience supporting data management, data quality, data governance, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of data controls, governance frameworks, and data quality principles.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging concepts.
- Experience working with business, technology, and data teams in a collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify risks, investigate issues, and support remediation efforts.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with data product, data mesh, and interoperability concepts.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative, STEM, business, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting enterprise data governance, reporting, analytics, or AI initiatives.
- Familiarity with regulatory, risk, and control frameworks within a large organization.
