As an Operations Manager within Reconciliation Services, you manage day-to-day reconciliation activities to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant outcomes. You lead a team of reconciliation analysts and specialists, translate leadership priorities into clear execution plans, and ensure breaks are investigated, resolved, and escalated appropriately. You maintain strong risk and control discipline, support audit and regulatory expectations, and partner with technology and automation teams to implement standardization and automation enhancements while using operational metrics to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily reconciliation production to ensure accurate, timely delivery aligned to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage exception processing by investigating breaks, driving resolution, maintaining strong documentation quality, and escalating aged or high-risk items on time.
- Execute and evidence key controls, including completeness and accuracy checks, sign-offs, access controls, and dual control, and ensure team adherence to control standards.
- Run day-to-day governance by managing shift handoffs, workflow prioritization, capacity planning, and issue management across steady-state and peak periods.
- Monitor performance using operational metrics (for example, breaks aging, throughput, productivity, and error rates) to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive standardization and automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
- Partner with technology, automation, and change teams to support requirements definition, testing execution, implementation readiness, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Track automated process outcomes, validate controls within automated workflows, and raise defects and enhancement requests based on performance data.
- Support risk, audit, and compliance activities by keeping documentation current, ensuring evidence is complete, and delivering remediation actions on time.
- Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, one-on-ones, training plans, and performance management to promote an inclusive and accountable culture.
Collaborate with stakeholders and partner teams, including business units, middle and back office partners, finance, compliance, and operations teams, to meet service expectations and resolve cross-functional issues.
