Social Media Content and Editorial Vice President
JPMorgan ChaseJ.P. Morgan is seeking a strategic and creative Vice President to lead editorial strategy and content planning for our social media channels, with a primary focus on the firm’s Security & Resiliency Initiative (SRI).
As a Social Media Content and Editorial Vice President within Commercial and Investment Banking you will report to and work closely with the Head of Content and Creative for Social Media, you will shape and execute the firm’s social voice and narrative—leading engagement with employees, clients, prospects, and stakeholders—while serving as the social media lead for SRI. In addition, you will oversee multi‑channel editorial planning and mentor a team of content creators, amplifying J.P. Morgan’s brand and showcasing our leadership in critical sectors such as advanced manufacturing, supply chains, and frontier technologies including AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing.
Job responsibilities
- Help optimize and implement J.P. Morgan’s social media strategy and tone of voice, ensuring alignment with brand vision and business objectives, ensuring proactive planning against firmwide tentpoles, milestones, and announcements.
- Oversee editorial calendar management and content planning for J.P. Morgan social channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
- Lead the development and execution of social-first editorial strategies that translate SRI’s vision and firmwide priorities into clear, compelling, and channel‑optimized narratives across social media platforms; help support SRI executives with their LinkedIn strategy and post creation
- Mentor and develop a team of content creators, setting creative standards for copy, visuals, and motion; foster a test-and-learn culture grounded in audience insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support firmwide initiatives and special projects.
- Guide the creation of social-first video and editorial content, maintaining consistency in brand voice and creative standards.
- Use audience insights, social listening, and analytics to inform strategy and maximize engagement.
- Work with communications, marketing, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated social campaigns.
- Monitor social media trends and emerging technologies to keep J.P. Morgan’s presence innovative; pilot new formats aligned to platform algorithms and audience behavior.
- Establish and track KPIs, providing regular reporting and actionable recommendations to senior management; help develop and enforce SEO- and GEO-informed copy guidelines for social posts.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 6+ years experience in social media, content strategy, editorial, or digital marketing.
- Proven track record developing and executing multi-channel social strategies for large organizations or digital publishers.
- Platform expertise in LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, including longform, Shorts, SEO/discovery, and retention best practices.
- Content development experience creating original social-first series, including video storytelling from ideation through execution (scripting, storyboarding, and optimization for formats/aspect ratios).
- Strong copywriting/editorial skills with the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice and write platform-optimized social copy (algorithm-aware, SEO/GEO discoverability).
- Strong visual and creative skills across design and video to lead engagement and brand awareness.
- Leadership experience managing and mentoring creative teams, building scalable workflows, and upholding editorial standards across copy, design, and video.
- Data-informed approach with a strong understanding of social analytics, trends, and audience engagement, and the ability to translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong judgment; able to build relationships across teams and divisions.
- Strong project management and organization; comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment; collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial approach and positive team attitude.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (including After Effects), Canva, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or relevant certifications.
- Experience working within financial services or one of the SRI focus areas (advanced manufacturing and supply chains, defense and aerospace technologies, energy independence and grid resilience, pharma and health technology, frontier technologies).
- Confidence to pitch fresh ideas, think creatively, and solve problems.
