As Program Management Office Lead in the Cloud Strategic Delivery team, you will lead governance and reporting across complex, multi-functional cloud technology programs that support JPMC's multi-cloud strategy. Job responsibilities
- Establish and maintain program governance – define and enforce standards, processes and policies to ensure that programs are executed consistently and in alignment with organizational strategy and that meet company and regulatory standards and requirements. E.g. planning, milestones, risk and dependency management, reporting etc.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate program planning, dependency/risk synthesis, and executive-ready reporting, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.
- Portfolio oversight and strategic alignment – monitor the program portfolio to prioritise initiatives, enable dependency management and ensure that programs deliver maximum value toward strategic business objectives.
- Resource management and allocation – coordination and optimization of the use of shared resources across multiple programs to prevent conflicts and ensure adequate staffing
- Standardisation of methodologies and tools – develop and provide standarised project management methodologies, templates, tools and best practices for us across all programs and projects
- Promotes reuse-first, AI-assisted practices for program governance and continuous improvement routines, ensuring human review and alignment to delivery standards.
- Risk and issue management aggregation – provide a consolidated view of high-level risks and issues across all programs and projects, facilitating effective escalation and mitigation strategies at the portfolio level
- Quality assurance and control – conduct reviews to ensure adherence to established standards and quality requirements throughout the program lifecycle. Evangelise PMO processes and make standards and processes easy to adopt.
- Knowledge management and capabilities development – capture lessons learned, facilitate best practice sharing and provide training and mentoring to improve the organisation’s overall program and portfolio management maturity.
- Implement and maintain fit-for-purpose PMO tooling to enable the CSD portfolio of programs to operate efficiently and consistently
- Manage, coach and develop the team of PMO Analysts, providing a robust support system, setting ambitious goals and setting them up for success by ensuring they have the resources they need to excel.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on technical program management concepts and advanced applied experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutions
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support technical program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.
- Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
- Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectives
- Adhere to TPO company standards for Cloud Service Providers e.g. review and revise CPS Exit Strategies, as well as more specific processes required for these vendors e.g. monthly Benefiting Legal Entities updates to engagement documentation for AWS. Build consistent and optimised processes across the Delivery Management Team who manage the assigned engagements.
- Escalate Supplier risks and issues as soon as possible to the JPMC Supplier Notifications mailbox, LOB Control Manager, Legal, Category Sourcing and/or or Technology Risk and Control (TRC), as applicable.
- Manage and monitor Supplier risks, controls, performance, customer inquiries and complaints, compliance with Contract terms (e.g., Minimum Control Requirements, Supplier Code of Conduct, supplier reporting obligations) and other areas of concern (e.g., key personnel changes, changing laws, regulations or economic conditions, financial health). Ongoing monitoring of an Engagement may also include periodic onsite visits and regular meetings with the supplier. Maintains relevant documents supporting these activities such as quarterly scorecards.
- Monitor Supplier risks and issues, including the need for recording of Risk Acceptances, within the firm’s Operational Risk tool in accordance with the firm’s CORE Procedures
