As the Vendor Management and Performance - Vice President in Global Security, you will be instrumental in defining and implementing the firm’s corporate security strategy, advancing security capabilities, and cultivating effective collaborations across functional and product teams. In this role, you will ensure that security initiatives are strategically aligned with business objectives and responsive to emerging threats, while supporting innovation and operational excellence through the integration of security best practices and the promotion of a proactive risk management culture.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary vendor-facing lead for key Global Security suppliers, building trusted relationships and ensuring clear, consistent engagement across day-to-day operations and governance touchpoints
- Own vendor communications strategy and execution, including outbound messaging, standards/expectations signaling, issue escalations, and follow-up communications to reinforce performance outcomes and required actions
- Lead the governance rhythm with vendors, aligning internal stakeholders on objectives, required inputs, and the narrative to be communicated externally
- Partner closely with internal performance monitoring and data teams to translate operational metrics and trends into vendor actions, commitments, and measurable improvement plans
- Apply data-driven decisioning by synthesizing multi-source operational performance information into insights that inform vendor conversations, prioritization, and leadership-ready recommendations
- Coordinate cross-functionally across Global Security (and with key partners such as sourcing/procurement, legal, risk, finance, and operations) to ensure vendor engagement aligns to firm policies, controls, and business practices
- Proactively identify delivery risks, emerging issues, and systemic root causes impacting vendor performance; drive timely remediation through structured escalation, action tracking, and stakeholder updates
- Promote adoption of the Corporate Security operating model by reinforcing standardized processes, expectations, and consistent communications across internal teams and external vendors
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in organizational strategy, governance, or program management
- Expertise in implementing performance frameworks and execution of large-scale and complex initiatives
- Ability to anticipate and identify risks / blockers to progress and collaborate to develop effective mitigants
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize workloads within a busy, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication (both written and oral) skills, including the ability to present security and technology concepts to a broad range of stakeholders
- Adept at developing relationships across organizational lines, including with senior executives
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Significant experience in a similarly complex public or private sector organization (preferably in a regulated context but not limited to the financial industry)
- Experience working in or knowledge of security operations, including guard management, technical security systems, and incident management
- Management consulting or internal consulting/ corporate strategy team experience
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certifications
