What we do
J.P. Morgan Asset Management (“JPMAM”) is a leading investment manager for institutions, financial intermediaries and individual investors worldwide. It offers investment management across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds.
Join this program, you will support various senior analysts in their sector coverage responsibilities as they generate high quality and actionable investment insights. The role is intended to be a development position for future senior covering analysts.
What You Can Expect
As an intern in the 2027 China Seasonal Internship Program – Asset Management – Research Analyst, you will work as an analyst from one asset class as listed below:
Equity research: analyze stocks to help portfolio managers make better-informed investment decisions. Equity researchers employ problem-solving skills, data interpretation, and various other tools to understand and predict a given security's behavioral outlook.
Our program kicks off with training and orientation to our businesses and you’ll gain the technical and practical knowledge so you can make an impact from the start.
The program is an opportunity to take your career to the next level through hands-on experience, relevant skills training and valuable professional networking. Based on your individual performance and achievements, you may receive an offer of full-time employment upon completion of the internship program.

About You
A strong interest in finance and asset management is essential, as are logical thinking and quantitative skills, flexibility, teamwork, excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle pressure and enjoy a collaborative environment. A well-rounded academic background is important. You certainly don’t need a degree in Economics or Finance, but a good level of numeracy is required.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Be able to work for at least 3 working days per week and last for 6 months from July – December 2027
Holding the permanent right to work in Mainland China is required
Relocation assistance for flight and accommodation will not be provided
Highly proficient in programming (Quantitative research)
