As a Team Lead within Documentation Management (Document Management Operations – Markets Trading Group), you lead review of legal agreements and extract legal and financial parameters for accurate indexing in JPMorganChase systems. You manage issue identification and resolution by coordinating with internal functions such as Credit and Legal and working closely with regional Legal Operations on ISDA master agreement negotiation and transactions. You deliver high productivity and quality, support regulatory projects such as Pushout, and contribute to building an efficient operating framework with business, operations, and technology partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead review of legal agreements (ISDA, CSA, F&O, OTC, Financing, Prime Brokerage) and oversee extraction of key legal and financial parameters.
- Index extracted parameters accurately in JPMorganChase systems, maintaining high quality, completeness, and control discipline.
- Resolve disputed points and documentation issues by coordinating with internal partners (e.g., Credit, Legal) within defined timeframes.
- Partner with regional Legal Operations teams responsible for ISDA master agreement negotiation and transactions to align inputs and outcomes.
- Support Markets regulatory projects such as Pushout, enabling client transfers between legal entities through controlled documentation execution.
- Improve operating frameworks by collaborating with Legal, Business, Operations, and Technology to drive process efficiencies and sustainable controls.
- Deliver productivity and quality outcomes by prioritizing effectively, meeting deadlines, and ensuring flexible shift coverage as required.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- 3+ years experience in derivatives master agreements and trade-related documentation within an investment bank or law firm
- Strong understanding of derivatives legal documents including ISDA and CSA
- Proficiency in MS Office with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask, prioritize, execute independently and in a team, and work to deadlines
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Degree in Law or Commerce
- Postgraduate qualification such as MBA or LLB
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (Legal Ops, Credit, Business, Technology) to resolve documentation breaks
- Flexibility to work shifts and manage time-sensitive deliverables
