As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Chief Technology Office — Engineering Services & Platforms — Customer, Engagement, Engineering, Exploration (engineering team, you serve as a member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
In this role, you'll join an agile engineering organization building and operating a growing portfolio of firmwide platforms: Feature Request, Convey, TechTube, go/roadmaps, go/blogs, and go/engineers, that streamline product intake, customer communication, knowledge sharing, roadmap transparency, long-form technical publishing, and developer documentation across the organization. You'll contribute hands-on across the full SDLC to deliver scalable, cloud-native capabilities that improve transparency, collaboration, and value delivery for product teams firmwide. Given the common technology stack, cross-team contribution is common, and you'll frequently work on features spanning multiple products.
The newest additions target concrete pain points. go/roadmaps replaces disconnected tools with a single source of truth for 1000+ product teams. go/blogs is a capability-first, multi-channel publishing platform with planned integration with go/engineers. go/engineers is the firm's developer portal and engineering content pipeline, supporting the firmwide engineering community at JPMorganChase.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions and break down technical problems.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by the code you develop.
- Build backend services, GraphQL/REST APIs, and modern React UIs, contributing to Module Federation micro-frontends and Hugo-based static content pipelines across the platform portfolio.
- Implement integrations that power the platforms, including Jira (for roadmap data), Bitbucket/GitHub (commit and contributor data), and notification and delivery workflows.
- Contribute to content and discovery features such as Lucene-based full-text search, documentation hosting, and content authoring pipelines (scaffolding, validation, build), supporting the go/blogs and go/engineers merge track.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and delivery speed, validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize data from large, diverse data sets, developing visualizations and reporting in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, and use those insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, mobile).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (e.g., React.js).
- Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g., AWS: ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS).
- Experience building or consuming GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Exposure to static site generators (Hugo), full-text search (Lucene), or micro-frontends via Module Federation.
- Familiarity with responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
- Exposure to RSS/email delivery channels or MCP (Model Context Protocol) channels for agent/IDE integration
