JPMorgan ChaseThe Financial Associate will support the Diversity, Opportunity & Inclusion organization by delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting that enables leaders to make informed decisions.
As a Financial Associate within the Human Resources Finance & Business Management team, you will partner closely with Finance stakeholders, Diversity, Opportunity & Inclusion Center of Excellence leads, Business Managers, and dashboard/reporting teams to ensure accurate, timely insights on business results, budget variances, and outlooks. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable communicating complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
- Build and maintain dynamic relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and Diversity, Opportunity & Inclusion.
- Partner with Business Managers to provide timely financial data, consolidate feedback, and support decision-making.
- Support ad-hoc requests and special projects, prioritizing deliverables effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on key financial issues, identify root causes, and propose actionable solutions.
- Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of business results and develop clear commentary explaining changes from budget for Center of Excellence Leads.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and proactively surface insights to anticipate leadership questions.
- Support a comprehensive reporting framework, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of deliverables.
- Coordinate with the dashboard/reporting team to produce accurate and timely monthly reporting packages.
- Review and validate monthly dashboards to confirm data integrity, reconcile results, and ensure executive-ready outputs.
- Present monthly finance reviews to Diversity, Opportunity & Inclusion Center of Excellence Leads, providing clear narrative and insights on performance versus budget and forecast.
- Support delivery of accurate monthly forecasts by completing discretionary trackers accurately and on time; escalate gaps or risks early.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Services with a background in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Management, Accounting, or Consulting.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
- Highly motivated with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions succinctly.
- Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Curiosity and critical thinking skills to anticipate questions from senior management.
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and/or reporting effectiveness.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience supporting executive-level reporting cadences (monthly business reviews, budget reviews, forecasting cycles).
- Comfort working across multiple stakeholder groups and managing competing priorities.
- Advanced attention to detail with a quality-control mindset for dashboards and reporting packages.
