As a Commodities Sales Analyst, you will support senior sales colleagues in covering clients end‑to‑end—delivering concise daily market insights, generating trade ideas, and pricing and executing transactions—while maintaining real‑time communication with clients and internal stakeholders. You will collaborate with Trading to create tailored solutions aligned to client objectives and timelines, developing skills and relationships that set the foundation for long‑term career growth across the commodities complex.
Job responsibilities
- Assist senior sales team members in proactive client coverage and pipeline follow‑up
- Produce concise daily market updates and themes for clients
- Generate trade ideas and drive execution from quote through post‑trade processes
- Price vanilla and structured products across commodities as directed
- Maintain frequent, real‑time client communication via chat and phone
- Partner with Credit and Risk teams on limits, collateral, and exposure monitoring
- Partner with Trading to deliver fit‑for‑purpose risk management and investment solutions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant sales or trading role
- General understanding of commodities and/or financial markets
- Confidence and initiative to take ownership and manage projects independently
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills; collaborative mindset and leadership potential
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior experience in oil, gas, or metals commodities
