As a Director of Infrastructure Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms, you manage one large area or multiple smaller ones with advanced technical knowledge to resolve complex issues. Job responsibilities
- Define and execute the strategic vision, roadmap, and service strategy for infrastructure products and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Lead AI-driven transformation initiatives across DMZ, Firewall, and network security services to enhance efficiency, automation, and resilience.
- Drive product innovation through customer engagement, market research, and technology evaluation, translating insights into prioritized roadmaps and deliverables.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including cost optimization, service reliability, security posture, risk management, and operational effectiveness.
- Own portfolio planning, budgeting, business cases, vendor management, procurement, and contract governance to ensure successful service delivery.
- Partner closely with Architecture, Network Engineering, and Operations teams to advance infrastructure modernization and automation-first solutions.
- Lead execution of strategic programs and change initiatives, managing product backlogs, quarterly planning, and delivery against defined objectives and key results.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring business requirements are understood, prioritized, and delivered while providing regular progress reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and risk management requirements, representing Network Services in engagements with Audit, Compliance, and regulatory authorities.
- Sets reuse-first expectations for enterprise-authorized AI adoption within the work environment across the function to accelerate delivery and improve decision quality, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
- Establishes governance standards for AI-assisted workflows used in delivery and operational routines, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency, security, and risk expectations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience leading large-scale enterprise network engineering, infrastructure services, product management, or operations functions within complex global environments.
- Proven accountability for end-to-end ownership, strategy, delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of critical network and security services.
- Subject matter expertise in enterprise networking, DMZ architecture, firewall technologies, network security, and modern infrastructure design principles.
- Deep technical knowledge of switching, routing, and security technologies, including firewalls, web application firewalls (WAF), proxies, and related security platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in the engineering, implementation, transformation, and operational management of large-scale network and security infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives, drive strategic decisions, and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Industry-recognized networking or cybersecurity certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent advanced technical credentials.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in the safe use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment for infrastructure engineering workflows, including validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to define review and approval expectations for AI-assisted recommendations and ensure outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
