As an Accountant: Generalist, you will prepare and record the company's financial performance using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, IBM Accounting Principles, and Local Statutory/Tax requirements.
You will also provide accurate information to management while ensuring high standards of financial controls and analyzing and interpreting financial data.
Your primary responsibilities will include
- Prepare Financial Statements: Prepare and record the company's financial performance on a timely and accurate basis, using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, IBM Accounting Principles, and Local Statutory/Tax requirements.
- Perform Operational Accounting: Perform operational/technical accounting and analysis, and profitability reporting to provide accurate information to management.
- Maintain Financial Controls: Maintain audit readiness and adherence to internal controls over financial reporting and financial data integrity for the organization.
- Reconcile General Ledger Accounts: Control and maintain assigned general ledger accounts, including account reconciliations and ledger entries.
- Resolve Technical Issues: Resolve technical issues, providing both internal and cross-functional guidance and expertise.
- Exposure to Financial Reporting: Knowledge of accounting theory and application of corporate policies, practices, and procedures, as well as basic tax rules, to prepare and record financial performance accurately.
- Operational Accounting Experience: Experience working with operational/technical accounting and analysis, and profitability reporting to provide accurate information to management.
- Financial Control Knowledge: Understanding of internal controls over financial reporting and financial data integrity, with the ability to maintain audit readiness and adherence to these controls.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Experience with controlling and maintaining assigned general ledger accounts, including account reconciliations and ledger entries.
- Technical Issue Resolution: Exposure to resolving technical issues, providing both internal and cross-functional guidance and expertise in a financial setting.
- Basic Tax Rules Knowledge: Familiarity with basic tax rules to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with local statutory requirements.
- Corporate Policies Understanding: Exposure to corporate policies, practices, and procedures to apply them in financial reporting and analysis.
