Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IBM’s Software Defined Storage solutions, guiding architectural and design decisions as well as mentoring peers on best practices. Partner with senior technical leads and engineering managers to plan, develop, and deliver high-quality software, leveraging deep technical skills and hands-on experience in system and storage domains. 3–6 years of industry experience in Systems Engineering and Software Development, specializing in Platform Engineering, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Cloud-Native Development, and backend engineering using Go and Python. Experienced Platform Engineer with expertise in designing, building, and managing cloud-native platforms on OpenShift and Kubernetes. Skilled in developing automation solutions, Kubernetes Operators, infrastructure tooling, and backend services using Go and Python. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, container platforms, and observability tools. Strong hands-on experience with virtualization and container technologies, including VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Good understanding of Linux networking internals, including TCP/IP, socket programming, and Ethernet technologies. Experience in developing and deploying applications and products on public cloud platforms, including the use of infrastructure and cloud templates for customized deployments. Familiar with the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including debugging, testing, and development best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues across multiple modules and distributed systems. Proficient in data structures and algorithms with a strong foundation in system-level programming concepts. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Operators and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs). Familiar with code versioning, defect tracking, and project management tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in stakeholder collaboration and technical reporting. Experienced in collaborating with global and cross-functional teams in agile development environments. Platform Engineer with experience in designing and managing cloud-native platforms using OpenShift and Kubernetes. Skilled in Go and Python for automation, operator development, infrastructure tooling, and backend services.
