As a QA Engineer Lead – Guideware, you will design and execute testing for applications and systems implemented using Guideware packages. This role requires a deep understanding of both the business domain and the related package solution, as well as core and technical testing skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include
- Design Optimized Test Scenarios: Create test cases and identify test environment and test data requirements to ensure thorough testing of applications and systems.
- Plan Testing Activities: Estimate work efforts, prioritize testing tasks, and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Execute Test Cases: Use automation and manual methods to execute test cases, report test status, and address defects to ensure high-quality results.
- Analyze Test Outcomes: Evaluate test results to identify areas for continuous improvement and optimize testing processes.
- Report Test Status: Provide regular updates on testing progress, defects, and test outcomes to stakeholders. This job can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. 15+ years of QA automation and software testing experience, including leadership of QA strategy, test planning, execution, defect management, and release governance. Strong expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, including automation of Guidewire workflows using the GT-UI Framework. Hands-on experience with test automation tools including Playwright, WebDriverIO, Selenium, and Cucumber BDD. Experience in API and performance testing using Postman, Karate, and JMeter. Proficiency with CI/CD practices and tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, and automated testing integration. Core Testing Skills: Experience in designing and executing testing for applications and systems, including creating test cases, identifying test environment and test data requirements, and executing test cases using automation and manual methods. Technical Testing Skills: Experience with core and technical testing skills, including estimating work efforts, prioritizing testing tasks, and coordinating testing activities to meet project timelines and objectives. Business Domain Knowledge: Experience in understanding business requirements and designing optimized test scenarios to ensure thorough testing of applications and systems. Test Analysis and Improvement: Experience in analyzing test outcomes to identify areas for continuous improvement and optimizing testing processes to deliver high-quality results.
- Package Solution Familiarity: Experience with multiple ERP packages, such as SAP, Oracle eBiz applications, or industry products like Oracle Flexcube, Finnacle, Guidewire, Smarter Commerce Suites, is beneficial for this role.
- Advanced Testing Methodologies: Knowledge of specialized testing methodologies and techniques, such as model-based testing, risk-based testing, or exploratory testing, can be advantageous in optimizing testing processes.
