We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a SVP, Head of Data, AI & Intelligence
In this role you will:
- Partner with the CCO and Commercial leadership to identify, prioritise and deliver high-impact data/AI use cases across distribution, marketing, customer, operations and corporate functions.
- Translate commercial priorities into clear problem statements, delivery plans, success metrics, and adoption/change plans to ensure measurable value.
- Own and maintain the business data roadmap, aligned to enterprise data strategy and the Intelligence Hub and Data Foundation programme, ensuring local execution aligns to global standards and reusable patterns.
- Provide hands-on leadership for the data foundation backlog on the global GCP instance, including prioritisation, sequencing, delivery governance and release readiness.
- Lead data modelling, data mapping and data solution testing, including data contracts, transformation logic, reconciliation controls, SIT/UAT support and data quality validation.
- Drive development and industrialisation of advanced analytics (e.g., Next Best Action, propensity, CLV, segmentation, predictive insights) with production monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives (including GenAI) from ideation to production and adoption, embedding responsible AI guardrails aligned to regulatory and internal control expectations.
- Champion enterprise data governance, quality and compliance, including establishing and managing a data governance audit capability for early detection of misuse, data quality risks and governance breaches.
To be successful you will need:
- 15+ years’ experience in a financial services environment (or similarly regulated industry).
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics or related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
- Proven leadership delivering enterprise data, analytics and/or AI outcomes, with evidence of hands-on ownership and measurable business impact.
- Strong hands-on expertise in modern cloud data platforms—particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—and enterprise data architecture patterns.
- Demonstrated depth in data modelling, mapping, lineage, data quality controls, and testing leadership for data solutions.
- Strong stakeholder and people leadership skills: able to influence senior leaders, communicate clearly to executive audiences, and lead high-performing teams (including matrix/onshore/offshore).
