Principal responsibilities:
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:
- Strong experience in risk/finance technology with a focus on data pipelines and controls (trade + reference + market data).
- Good working knowledge of CCR fundamentals: exposure/PFE concepts, collateral & CSA terms, close-out netting, and how results aggregate (trade → netting set → counterparty/group).
- Experience clarifying requirements with senior stakeholders and communicating clearly in writing (decisions, assumptions, impact).
- Hands-on engineering ability in Java and/or Python, plus solid SQL and data analysis skills.
- Production mindset: troubleshooting, incident management, and building observable and auditable systems.
- Practical experience applying AI to workflows (not just theory): automation of repetitive analysis, operational processes, or decision-support in a controlled environment.
- Strong Python for AI-enabled engineering: working with notebooks and/or services, prompt engineering basics, and integrating AI components via APIs into existing systems/processes.
- Ability to validate AI outputs: establishing human-in-the-loop checks, quality gates, evaluation metrics, and clear audit trails so outputs are explainable and trustworthy.
- Structured problem-solving mindset: can translate messy operational pain points into automatable steps (process mapping, control points, data requirements).
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Experience with SA‑CCR implementation/support and/or CVA/XVA (including sensitivities).
- Familiarity with Kafka, microservices patterns, schema versioning, and replay/idempotency.
- Experience operating on GCP (and hybrid on‑prem/cloud setups).
- Exposure to stress testing and regulatory reporting.
- Experience with ML anomaly detection / time-series analysis for operational monitoring and data quality (e.g., drift, outlier detection, reconciliation break prediction).
- Experience building internal tooling (e.g., workflow automation, ticket enrichment, knowledge search, runbook copilots) that improves team throughput.
- Familiarity with model risk / AI governance concepts (e.g., monitoring, versioning, controlled rollout, documentation).
