Position Purpose:
The field support manager of inspections is responsible for performing inspections of store racking and cantilever systems on a scheduled basis to ensure safety and compliance with National Rack Standards and manufacture guidelines. The role involves coordination and communication with store leadership regarding scheduling, inspection findings, and routine training. The leader is responsible for review of materials needs, identifying opportunities with the inspection app and providing feedback on field trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- 5% Ad Hoc Requests - Perform ad hoc requests as needed.
- 5% Audit Review - Reviews independent engineering audits of inspection for feedback and learning.
- 5% Inspection Process Feedback - Provides feedback on tendencies in the field and opportunities on the inspection process.
- 80% Racking Inspections - Performs and reviews store racking inspections across assigned territory.
- 5% Safety and Compliance - Works closely with store leadership on immediate safety concerns and training on National Racking Standards as applicable.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to Senior Mgr of Inspections.
- This Position does not have direct reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Working Conditions:
- Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such
things as dust, fumes or odors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite•
- Working knowledge of Tableau
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Preferred Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
