Join Hitachi Energy as a Regional Machine Safety Engineer and become a trusted expert leading the development and execution of machine safety strategies across operations. In this role, you’ll combine technical knowledge with cross-functional collaboration to design safer systems, improve processes, and protect people.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Working closely with engineering, maintenance, and factory teams, you will take ownership of machine safety initiatives—from risk assessment to implementation of safeguarding solutions. Your expertise will influence key decisions in industrial projects, upgrades, and daily operations. How you'll make an impact
Lead machine risk assessments and mitigation strategies
Deliver training to build safety knowledge across teams
Implement safety standards across operations and projects
Investigate incidents and define corrective action plans
Support emergency response and containment activities
Drive continuous improvement of machine safety processes
Provide technical guidance for capital projects and upgrades
Develop preventive maintenance strategies for machinery
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in machine safety, risk assessment, or maintenance
Knowledge of ANSI and ISO machine safety standards
Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system diagrams
Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
Certification (ANSI or TÜV) or willingness to obtain
