Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Research and Development Quality Manager for the Business Unit Transformers to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. In this role, you will oversee and manage global
quality processes across the R&D function, ensuring adherence to unified quality protocols and driving continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality,

How you will make an impact:
- Develop and implement the R&D Quality Improvement Plan, aligning with global and business unit strategies to drive quality excellence.
- Integrate the Voice of the Customer into R&D practices, ensuring products meet customer needs and enhance satisfaction.
- Ensure R&D products and processes comply with local, regional, and international quality regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Establish and maintain the R&D Quality Management System, fostering continuous improvement and business sustainability.
- Embed quality assurance methodologies like Design FMEA and Process FMEA into R&D processes to prevent defects and ensure compliance.
- Oversee the resolution of quality issues within R&D, fostering cross-functional collaboration and sustainable solutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by embedding Lean Six Sigma principles into R&D practices and projects.
- Measure and analyze R&D quality performance, using data-driven insights to implement improvements and achieve strategic goals.
- Develop and enhance R&D team competencies through targeted training programs, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your background:
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing quality methodologies in R&D, such as FMEA, Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance standards relevant to R&D.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of utilizing data analysis to drive quality improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with hands-on experience in application
