This is an exciting opportunity to join a global team working at the forefront of advanced powersystem technology. As a Testing & Commissioning Engineer, you will contribute to ensuring that highly complex HVDC systems are delivered with the reliability, performance, and safety required for modern energy infrastructure worldwide.
In this role, you will be involved in the full commissioning lifecycle—applying structured testing, verification, and quality assurance practices to confirm that systems meet their design intent and operate seamlessly once energized. Industrywide, commissioning engineers play a crucial role in validating system functionality, interpreting test results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and performance standards.
You will be part of an environment that values continuous improvement, technical curiosity, and cross functional collaboration. Your responsibilities
• You will be part of a global team doing the testing and startup for HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) converter stations all over the world
• You will work closely with other business functions across projects to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and customer specific requirements
• You will be part of a team that oversees the installation of equipment, systems, and facilities to make sure that they function correctly and deliver the expected results

• You will be traveling frequently and spend longer periods abroad
Your background
• You have hands-on experience from working with power systems (previous experience in HVDC and substation will be considered an added advantage)
• Candidates who have hands-on experience with HVDC valve commissioning or operation will be considered a strong asset
• You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
• You have a good general technical understanding and are eager to learn more
• As a person you are enthusiastic, determined with a positive attitude
• You are comfortable communicating in English both written and spoken
• Due to the international nature of the role and extended assignments outside Sweden, you have the unrestricted ability to travel and work across Europe for longer periods
