The opportunity:
The Local Service Unit Manager (PGSV) is responsible for leading the local Service business operations, ensuring the successful execution of Hitachi Energy’s strategies at the country level while delivering strong financial and operational performance. The role oversees service teams, customer relationships, and field operations, driving operational excellence and business growth. It also fosters collaboration across business units and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and sustainable development of the local service organization.
How you'll make an impact:
Lead the implementation of the PGSV Service strategy at the country level, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives while driving business growth and market expansion.
Manage the local Service business P&L, ensuring profitability, operational performance, productivity improvements, and achievement of financial targets.
Strengthen customer relationships, increase market penetration, expand the installed base, and drive customer satisfaction initiatives.
Promote operational excellence through process optimization, continuous improvement, resource planning, training programs, and best-practice sharing.
Drive a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture, ensuring compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and risk management practices.
Lead, develop, and engage service teams, ensuring appropriate staffing, capability development, succession planning, and professional growth.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Significant and proven experience managing a Service business unit, including Installed Base (IB) management and full P&L accountability.
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
Solid technical knowledge of transformers, circuit breakers, substations, and high-voltage systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrix-driven environment.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Available to travel up to 30% of the time.
