Finance Business partner - SAP S/4 HANA Controlling - CP&O

The Opportunity 

Join Hitachi Energy's Controlling Capability Center and play a key role in connecting Finance, Business Controllers, and the SAP CO Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role, you will support global finance teams by understanding business requirements, driving process improvements, and ensuring successful delivery of SAP Controlling solutions within the S/4HANA environment. 

You will act as a functional partner to controllers and business stakeholders, helping translate business needs into system solutions while working closely with the SAP CO CoE. The role requires strong knowledge of management accounting processes, end-to-end value flows, and SAP Controlling capabilities across manufacturing, project, service, and software business models. 

How You'll Make an Impact 

Business Partnering & Demand Management 

•  Act as a key interface between Controllers, Business Stakeholders, and the SAP CO CoE. 

• Understand and document business requirements related to Controlling processes. 

• Coordinate with SAP CO consultants to evaluate, prioritize, and implement business demands. 

• Track enhancement requests and ensure timely closure of agreed actions. 

• Support global finance teams in resolving process and system-related issues. 

• Drive for the New development from Design to implementation stages  

• Lead Global trainings and awareness sessions to the controlling community across Hitachi Energy. 

SAP CO Process Support 

• Support and improve SAP Controlling processes across Archetypes:  

• Make-to-Stock (MTS) 

• Make-to-Order (MTO) 

• Engineer-to-Order (ETO) 

• Services (I2R) 

• Software business models 

• Analyse end-to-end financial value flows and identify process improvement opportunities. 

Functional Expertise 

Support activities related to: 

• Result Analysis (RA) 

• RAR (Revenue Accounting & Reporting) 

• Material Ledger 

• Standard Costing / Product Costing 

• Cost Object Controlling 

• Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) 

• Costing Sheets

• Assessment & Distribution Cycles 

• CO-PA Assessment Cycles 

• Activity Types and Activity Rates 

• Overhead Rates 

• Profit Center Accounting 

• Inventory Valuation 

• Period-End Closing Activities 

Continuous Improvement 

• Identify standardization and automation opportunities. 

• Support global initiatives for process harmonization and simplification. 

• Prepare process documentation, SOPs, training materials, and playbooks. 

• Participate in SAP S/4HANA transformation and enhancement projects. 

Compliance & Governance 

• Support adherence to internal controls and financial governance requirements. 

• Ensure process documentation remains updated and audit compliant. 

• Follow Hitachi Energy policies, procedures, and quality standards. 

Your Background 

Education 

• CA / CMA 

• CA Inter / CMA Inter 

• MBA (Finance) 

Experience 

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in SAP CO Consultant having strong understanding in Finance, Controlling, Management Accounting and Manufacturing experience. 

• End-to-end implementation experience in SAP CO having strong understanding of CO model along with other integrated models like SD, MM, PS, FI etc. 

• Experience in Manufacturing, Project Business, Industrial, Engineering, or Shared Services environment preferred. 

• Exposure to business partnering, process improvement or ERP transformation initiatives is an advantage.
