Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hitachi Storage Technical Consultant to provide expert-level technical guidance, implementation, and support for Hitachi storage solutions. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their storage needs, design optimal architectures, and ensure successful deployment and ongoing operational efficiency.
Job Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Hitachi VSP series (e.g., VSP 5000 series, VSP G series, VSP F series) storage systems.
* Should have L2 support experience in handling Hitachi VSP products.
* Proficiency with Hitachi NAS (HNAS) and Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of storage networking technologies including Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI, and network-attached storage (NAS) protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS).
* Experience with storage virtualization, replication, and data protection technologies.
* Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and VMware vSphere.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Job Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and configure Hitachi storage solutions (e.g., VSP, HNAS, HCP, HUS) based on client requirements and best practices.
* Conduct technical assessments, performance analysis, and capacity planning for storage environments.
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex storage issues.
* Develop and deliver technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and operational guides.
* Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical pre-sales support, including solution presentations and demonstrations.
* Act as a subject matter expert for Hitachi storage technologies, keeping abreast of new products and features.
* Mentor and train junior technical staff on Hitachi storage solutions.
* Participate in client meetings, workshops, and project discussions to gather requirements and present solutions.
* Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and industry best practices.
