Goldman Sachs Wealth Management is seeking an Estate Settlement Services Advisor to join our team. Goldman Sachs Ayco (Ayco) partners with Fortune 1000 companies to design and implement tailored financial planning programs for their workforce-leveraging the 50-year heritage of Ayco and the comprehensive resources of Goldman Sachs to meet the evolving needs of their employees. Ayco believes companies best serve their stakeholders and the greater economy when their employees' financial lives are clear, understood and in their control. Ayco advisors and technical specialists help clients achieve their personal financial goals through education and guided implementation across seven key financial disciplines, including employee benefit planning.
The Estate Settlement Services (“ESS”) team works with advisors who service high net worth to ultra-high net worth clients across the United States. ESS is an internal team comprised of technical advisors who provide education, training, and practical guidance to advisor teams to help the advisors efficiently navigate the process of settling client estates and trusts. Members of the ESS team interact with many segments of the firm including working closely with internal compliance officers and legal departments while also connecting externally with the client’s fiduciary, legal, and tax advisors.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
As an Estate Settlement Services Advisor, you will:
- Review and Summarize Documents: Analyze wills and trust documents and provide clear summaries to help advisors understand key provisions
- Support Advisor Education: Help explain estate and trust concepts in a clear and practical way to colleagues and advisor teams
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal partners, including risk, compliance, and operations teams, to support smooth processes
- Assist with Client Transitions: Support administrative processes following a client’s passing, including coordination with internal teams
- Build External Relationships: Communicate with external partners such as attorneys, tax advisors, and fiduciaries as part of ongoing case work
- Contribute to Team Initiatives: Support internal projects, training efforts, and materials that enhance team effectiveness
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is interested in developing in estate and trust administration.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree a plus, but not required)
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience (e.g., financial services, estate administration, trust operations, or related field)
- Foundational understanding of estate planning and administration concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Albany, New York, United States-based position is $60000-$100000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
