Art Intake Associate
The Art Intake Associate is the first touchpoint in the manufacturing process, responsible for receiving, inspecting, and dispositioning customer artwork before it enters production. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to art safety, as all artwork is treated as fragile and irreplaceable.
Please note this is a 60 Day Temporary position, starting in June and running through the end of July into the beginning of August.
Shift Monday through Friday, 4:15pm-12:45am.
• Receive customer art arriving via retail shuttle and UPS packages
• Open and unpack flat mail, tube mail, and other packaging formats - never discarding any package contents
• Verify all physical items against the customer's work order
• Photograph all artwork using the intake tool camera, ensuring the entire piece is visible
• Visually inspect art and note condition upon arrival
• Immediately notify a supervisor if art is missing or damaged, or does not match the order
• Use the Art Intake tool to log and process each work order
• Accurately complete the Dispositioning Form, including: art framing type, size group, wall location, ship-by date, and any matching set requirements
• Verify the production category based on the work order and art inspection
• Place artwork on the Disposition Wall for scheduling into production cells
• Maintain one-piece flow - process one work order at a time to prevent swaps
• Package art into the appropriate sleeve or bin size; secure with clips
• Follow proper storage procedures for canvas, tubes, 3D objects, and oversized pieces
• Ensure the RFID Traveler accompanies each retail order throughout the process
• Target throughput: 85–115 orders dispositioned per shift
• Operate on a First In, First Out (FIFO) basis to support on-time delivery
• Pay: $18.00/hr.
• No prior experience required - full training provided
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes consistently
• Ability to handle physical objects carefully and safely throughout a shift
• Basic comfort with computers and web-based tools
• Clear communicator - able to flag issues promptly to supervisors
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry packages of varying sizes
• Some pieces may require two-person handling
