Job Description Summary
The Service unit of GE Grid Solutions is currently seeking a lead GIS field specialist. Reporting directly to the Head of Service GIS, the incumbent will be responsible, in collaboration with the client and the engineering group to ensure the commissioning of GIS substation and provide support equipment. It will also train and support these colleagues and the client's employees in performing this task. It should also be available 24/24 for support in case of emergency.

Principales Responsabilités
- Planification des ressources, de l'équipement et du temps pour la mise en service, la réparation ou l'expertise de construction.
- Gérer les travailleurs du client et/ou entrepreneur sur le site.
- Effectuer des tests de mise en service
- Préparer les rapports d'avancement, les résultats des tests, les rapports de non-conformité.
- Annoter et éditer les dessins 'as built'.
- Participer à la rédaction de procédures techniques.
- Soumettre aux clients externes la documentation technique interne nécessaire au fonctionnement et à la maintenance des équipements. Fournir des compléments d'information si nécessaire.
- Fournir une assistance technique pour la préparation de la soumission.
- Analyser, étudier et proposer des solutions aux problèmes concernant l’obsolescence des produits de GE Grid. Tester et industrialiser la solution.
- Participer à l'élaboration des critères d'inspection en collaboration avec les clients et l'équipe d'ingénierie.
Qualifications requises
- Baccalauréat en génie électrique avec une spécialisation en GIS
- Expérience de terrain dans la mise en service de sous-stations pendant 5 à 10 ans.
- Prêt à voyager jusqu'à 75%.

Main Responsibilities
- Resource planning, equipment and time for commissioning, repair or construction expertise.
- Manage Workers customer and / or switch on the site.
- Perform commissioning tests
- Prepare progress reports, test results, non-compliance report
- Annotating and editing drawings 'as built'.
- Participate in the drafting of technical procedures.
- Submit to external customers and internal technical documentation necessary for operation and maintenance of equipment. Provide information supplements as needed.
- Provide technical assistance in the preparation of submission.
- Analyze, investigate, and propose solutions to problems concerning GE Grid discontinued products. Test and industrialize the solution.
- Participate in the development of inspection criteria in collaboration with customers and engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with specialization in GIS
- Field experience in substation commissioning for 5-10 years.
- Willing to travelling up to 75%

- Fluency in English and French.
- Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD), and office (MS Office Suite)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $78,800.00 and $131,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
