• The Electrical Specialist for Operation and Maintenance must possess the necessary knowledge to work on the various electrical equipment of a thermal power plant. Power generation and support equipment includes gas turbines, steam turbines, diesel engines, generators, air compressors, and motors.
• Execute Electrical related maintenance activities according to the workplan provided by the CMMS
• Responsible to assist in reducing maintenance cost by efficient use of consumables, parts and tools and preventing their loss or damage
• Diagnose the cause of electrical failures or malfunctions in operating equipment such as motors and variable frequency drives. Must be able to communicate findings to all stakeholders.
• Diagnose, test, repair, or replace defective electrical components.
• Test defective equipment and apply knowledge of the operation of electrical units and systems to diagnose the cause of the failure.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment according to specifications.
• Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests performed.
• Record maintenance actions on work orders.
• Identify the necessary spare parts for the various plant systems.
• Submit purchase requisitions in the MAXIMO system.
• Read and understand the system's technical manuals and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to the procedures in the technical manual.
• Prepare legible and understandable work orders for required preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Read, understand, and comply with all plant safety procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with external contractors on various investment projects. Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
