Job Description Summary
Strong technical experience in GIS and AIS switchgear is required. The role includes performing E&C services and maintenance activities, including testing and commissioning of all types of high‑voltage switchgear. The candidate must be able to handle and manage GIS equipment, prepare technical reports and site documentation, and ensure full EHS compliance and quality of site work in accordance with GE Vernova procedures.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Fully understand the importance of site safety and perform LOTO operations in compliance with GE and customer safety regulations
- Implement GEV EHS rules by understanding and applying site Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards for continuous improvement
- Perform E&C activities for 230 kV and 380 kV substations
- Execute troubleshooting and corrective repairs in live electrical substations
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per approved procedures
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose equipment issues
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of substations
- Maintain accurate back‑office reporting, test reports, and customer site documentation
- Coordinate with OEMs and factories for resolution of unresolved repair issues and non‑conformities (NCs)
- Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑arrangement, and project execution phases
- Work effectively as part of a site team or act as a site lead, including task allocation and coordination of site personnel
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a Diploma in a related field with relevant work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with high-voltage switchgear.
- Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of high-voltage substations.
- English language proficiency.
- Willingness to travel and work at remote sites throughout Saudi Arabia.
