Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will be assigned based on experience level and may include:
• Design, develop, and maintain Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for electronic and electrical control systems.
• Assist in or lead the creation of test plans, test specifications, and validation strategies based on product and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop, modify, and maintain test applications using NI LabVIEW and TestStand, ensuring scalable, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Support or lead hardware and software upgrades to test platforms, including toolchain updates and hardware obsolescence management.
• Maintain, calibrate, and support electrical test systems, including test fixtures, tools, and spare parts.
• Troubleshoot test failures and system performance issues through hardware- and software-level debugging and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to align test solutions with business and product needs.
• Support source code management activities, including firmware updates, configuration changes, and BOM (Bill of Materials) updates.
• Contribute to or lead global deployment and standardization of test systems across manufacturing sites.
• Document test system designs, test procedures, validation reports, and support activities in accordance with engineering and quality standards.
• Learn and apply industry best practices for testing, debugging, and maintaining electrical and electronic control systems.
Desired Characteristics / qualifications
• Electrical / Electronics / Software Engineering Bachelor Degree
• Strong expertise in C and C++ programming
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Preferrable 1-3 years of relevant work experience in either/or (both desirable):
o Windows programming, such as development of console-based applications
o Strong foundation in control systems, electrical and electronics engineering, embedded application software development
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with NI LabVIEW and TestStand beneficial but not mandatory
