Job Summary:**
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician 1 supports manufacturing operations by assisting engineers in developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient production processes for medical imaging systems. This role involves basic troubleshooting, data collection, and process documentation.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist manufacturing engineers in the design, development, and improvement of production processes, fixtures, and tooling.
* Perform basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and processes, escalating complex issues to higher-level technicians or engineers.
* Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and support process optimization initiatives.
* Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams.
* Conduct time studies and participate in lean manufacturing activities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Support the implementation and validation of new products and processes on the production floor.
* Perform routine maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment as directed.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
* Collaborate with production personnel to resolve manufacturing issues and ensure smooth operations.
* Participate in root cause analysis for production defects and non-conformances.
Job Qualifications:**
* Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology) or equivalent vocational training and experience.
* 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medical device or electronics industry.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
* Proficiency with basic hand tools and measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
