Responsibilities:
- Set up and run tribology test equipment and undertake data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Participate and give technical guidance for product development.
- Provide tribology support to relevant functions within the wider organization.
- Carry out component failure analysis and complete appropriate testing on prepared samples.
- Occasional formal and informal presentations to management and/or customers.
Qualifications:
- BS or higher in Tribology, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field.
- 1-5 years work experience in an R&D environment.
- Experience with tribology test rigs preferred.
- Practical experience with bearings, gears, chains or other industry components preferred.
- CAD construction skills desired.
- Machining and 3D printing experience preferred.
