EY-P S&E Deal Management team services clients with a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, across buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including divestiture advisory services, carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, 100day planning, integration process support, carve-out/stand-alone costs assessment and risks

The opportunity

We’re looking for Assistant Manager with 4-6 years of experience in M&A life cycle, integration & separation of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A, with a basic understanding of the industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, TMT, CPR, Industrials and Energy. As an Assistant Manager in Deal Management practice, you will play a crucial role in supporting high-impact projects

 

Your key responsibilities

• Collaborate with onshore teams to define project scope, establish work plans, and align requirements to ensure timely delivery and achievement of project objectives
• Support project engagement teams supporting transaction strategy and execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with client expectations
• Oversee and guide junior team members, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support career development through coaching and mentorship
• Support business development efforts, identify opportunities for engagement expansion, support proposal development, and contribute to business growth by preparing client-ready presentations and assisting in pursuits
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive positioning to inform transaction strategy

 

Skills and attributes for success

• Basic understanding of M&A life cycle, integration & separation of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A
• Ability to leverage AI‑enabled tools for deal execution; comfort using GenAI for executive‑ready storytelling, scenario analysis, and productivity acceleration while adhering to EY risk, data privacy, and quality standards
• Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of analytical tools such as PowerBI, Smartsheets, Power Query, Alteryx, Macros would be preferred

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Post Graduate degree in business, engineering, from a premier institute with 4-6 years of applicable industry and/or consulting experience
• Understanding of M&A life cycle, integration and separation of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A
• Well versed with MS Excel, PowerPoint and understanding of GenAI/AI capabilities
• Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirement

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Project management skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Team handling and people management skills
