Job Title: Senior Accountant II

A challenging opportunity with Electronic Arts (India) in the Record to Report function. The Senior Accountant II will be responsible for performing and reviewing General Ledger activities, supporting month-end close, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and partnering effectively with stakeholders. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, ownership of deliverables, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities of this Role:
- Perform and review General Ledger activities including Bank Reconciliations, Accruals, Prepaids, Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and Manual Journal Entries in compliance with policy.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Intercompany and Lease Accounting, resolving accounting and reconciliation queries independently.
- Ensure accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations and provide meaningful analysis and commentary on movements in GL balances.
- Support month-end close activities and ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit processes.
- Apply strong understanding of US GAAP and underlying accounting principles to daily operations and issue resolution.
- Drive process efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and automation where applicable.
- Partner with stakeholders to support quarterly reviews, business reviews, and projects as guided by the business.
- Proactively identify and mitigate accounting risks, including aged or unreconciled balances.
- Support transitions, documentation, and service level agreements for new or evolving processes as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners to meet organizational objectives.
