Join a vital team in an innovative, collaborative environment supporting one of the world’s largest online marketplaces. eBay is an international e-commerce company active in over 30 countries. eBay's tax department is looking for a senior transfer pricing analyst to become part of its global transfer pricing group. This position will be located in Austin, Texas and will report to the Global Head of Transfer Pricing based in San Jose, California.
At eBay, the transfer pricing team develops and implements transfer pricing policies including intercompany agreements, ensures appropriate determination and recording of transfer pricing entries, provides tax planning, APA, and tax controversy assistance, monitors intercompany transactions to keep pricing consistent with the arm’s length principle, prepares U.S. and foreign transfer pricing documentation, and aids the businesses on intercompany pricing related issues.

What You Will Accomplish
Provide assistance across multiple transfer pricing projects, including:
Assist in the preparation and review of global transfer pricing documentation in collaboration with external advisors and internal collaborators, including reviewing and compiling tested party data
Assist in preparing and revising intercompany agreements to ensure alignment with transfer pricing policies
Monitor intercompany transactions and support operational transfer pricing (OTP) calculations and year-end true-up calculations
Partner with cross-functional groups (Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and broader Tax) to develop networks and ensure smooth management and communication of transfer pricing issues
Support transfer pricing components of M&A integrations, including IP valuations and implementation of post-integration operational framework
Assist with transfer pricing audits and controversy matters in the U.S. and international jurisdictions, including data gathering, related analyses, and collaboration with advisors
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field from an accredited college/university
2+ years of experience in tax or transfer pricing in either an advisory or corporate setting
An ability to work effectively in a team environment and make a positive contribution toward the overall success of the team
Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
Strong attention to detail while never losing sight of the “big picture”
Use of MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets, and other tools to prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance.
Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline day-to-day operations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferences
Prior experience working with SAP/S4HANA a plus

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
108,000-118,000Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
