Role Description

IT Application Owner is responsible for identifying and assessing the current state technological infrastructure for gaps or potential improvements using their knowledge of infrastructure solutions and where industry innovations are in their lifecycles.

Work includes:

• Determining the appropriate technological solutions to balance delivery and compliance
• Identifying gaps in the current infrastructure solutions and implementing the associated improvements whilst ensuring compliance with technical roadmaps.
• Improving the safety and security of IT Applications, compliance with internal and external standards and operational readiness.
• Supporting the bank’s audit function in the remediation of audit points and issues in order to reduce risk.
• Identifying and assessing IT Application risk and implementing the associated technology measures.
• Contributing and assisting with the implementation of policy and strategy specific to IT management and Information Security
• Identifying opportunities to incorporate new technologies/approaches into best practice.

Your key responsibilities

• ITAO drives activity that helps incidents reduction against an application
• ITAO supports compliance on all steps of SDLC process and make sure that all SDLC controls are green.
• The ITAO supports the team’s role as key contact for all security controls in the software delivery process and ensure that the security controls are evidenced by driving automated evidence.
• The ITAO consults with the ITAO community, information security specialists in our CSO organization, and other infrastructure teams like the ORR/SDLC teams.
• Make sure that all steps in Identity & Access Management cycle (on-boarding, recertification, off-boarding) are compliant against DB Policies and application is on-boarded to central tools.
• Plan for Application Hardware / Software / License upgrades or migration activities to align to the compliant platforms.
• Keep up-to-date DR Test Plan and manage regular DR Tests
• ITAO is responsible for Application Decommissioning

Your skills and experience

• Candidate is expected to have at least 8-10 years’ experience in IT, preferably with Asset Management Business Applications and Processes.
• The IT Application Owner (ITAO) has sound IT risk management skills. They follow one of several possible service delivery approaches, acknowledge interference with the IT application’s life cycle and assist with incorporating the adopted approach into best practice.
• sound knowledge of development methodologies and the IT policies
• Familiarity with Cloud (GCP), Identity & Access Management cycle (on-boarding, recertification, off-boarding)

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
