As a Data Engineer II on the Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for…
- Design, develop, and deploy user-facing applications and workflows using Palantir Foundry, with a focus on the Workshop module and front-end experiences.
- Translate client business requirements into intuitive, scalable, and secure Foundry applications.
- Build and configure solutions that leverage Palantir’s AI-enabled capabilities to support operational decision-making and mission outcomes.
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain technical solutions using Python and Foundry development tools.
- Collaborate with data engineers and other technical team members to integrate front-end applications with data pipelines, ontologies, and backend services.

You will join a team that designs and delivers data engineering solutions that help organizations modernize data platforms and enable analytics, automation, and business insight. The team works across the data lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, storage, quality, and delivery of data products. Team members collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a quantitative field
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- 1+ years of experience of hands-on project experience with Palantir Foundry
- Must possess an active U.S. Secret security clearance and be able to maintain it for the duration of employment and assignment
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a quantitative field
- Demonstrated experience developing front-end solutions in Foundry, including Workshop applications, operational workflows, or user-facing applications.
- Familiarity with Palantir’s AI-enabled capabilities and ability to apply them to business or client needs.
- Strong Python proficiency, including the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and maintain technical solutions.
- Solid foundation in software development, data engineering, or application development beyond low-code configuration.
- Palantir AI Engineer or Application Developer certification, and experience with Tableau, Qlik, or other data-visualization platforms.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,400 to $140,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
