Audit & Assurance – Intern – Distributed Audit and Assurance Services – Summer 2027

Work You’ll Do

As a Distributed Audit and Assurance Services Intern, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. The role includes working independently, as well as collaborating with a diverse group of audit and assurance professionals and Deloitte leaders.

You'll have the opportunity to work across our Audit and Assurance offerings — including Audit, Specialized Assurance, Accounting & Reporting, Controls, and Internal Audit — bringing together diverse skills, leading-edge technology, and a global network to deliver high-quality audits, assurance reports, and insights that shape how organizations report and operate. You will build adaptable, transferable skillsets that are critical for future leaders as the profession evolves.

You will have the opportunity to be exposed to a multitude of clients and industries, to understand their business, the risks they face, their accounting and reporting processes, and their internal controls—enabling you to make meaningful contributions across Deloitte’s suite of audit and assurance services. During your internship, you will work with audit team members to learn to apply the following concepts:

• Auditing client financial statements, transactions, and internal controls over financial reporting
• Assisting in providing advisory and assurance services for clients
• Performing data interrogation and analysis of client data
• Assisting in identifying and recommending solutions to client processes
• Leveraging innovative tools and technologies, including implementation of Deloitte Way Workflows (standardization of auditing methods and techniques)

Qualifications

Required:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Strong academic record, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• You should reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required, without the need for overnight accommodations
• You can expect to co-locate at a Deloitte office or client site on average 2 times a week with variations-based business needs
• Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment

Preferred:

• Meets minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location prior to beginning full-time employment
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above
• Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs) 
• Demonstrated recent leadership, such as in a campus club, society, sports teams or other activity
