Senior Mainframe Developer

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities  

• Responsible for the daily development, maintenance, and support of the mainframe health claims applications.
• Develop, test, and deploy code changes for claims processing systems based on technical specifications.
• Monitor daily batch jobs and resolve ABENDs within defined SLA timelines.
• Assist in unit and integration testing of new healthcare compliance updates.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and runbooks for the Operate team.

Qualifications 

 Required 

• 7+ years of experience in software, systems, or embedded engineering
• 7+ years of experience in Mainframe application development (COBOL, JCL, DB2).
• Experience with incident and change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,900.00-$179,900.00.
