Work you'll do
As a Specialist, Risk and Compliance Services on the Conflicts Center of Excellence team, you will:
- Collaborate with Conflicts COE Managers and Senior Managers, Lead Client Service Partners, Deloitte Independence Directors, audit engagement teams, global Conflicts teams, and teams across Deloitte businesses to support auditor independence and identify potential conflicts of interest.
- Coordinate department workflow by monitoring incoming requests from engagement teams, assigning cases to analysts in the US and India, tracking timely completion of assessments, and directing questions to senior leadership, as applicable.
- Support engagement teams by submitting conflict checks to a centralized Conflicts team, following up with US and global contacts, assessing services and relationships for risk categorization, and applying independence rules and policy to client-specific fact patterns.
- Prepare final independence assessments for Manager and Senior Manager review, raise potential conflicts for evaluation, and engage with the global Independence & Conflicts Network and Enterprise Portfolio Management team, as needed.
- Support projects directed by Managers and Senior Managers, including internal documentation, educational materials, presentations for stakeholders, process improvements, and training support for team members in the US and India.

The Conflicts CoE team performs a critical quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte U.S. firm, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing services to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, external rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte U.S. firm and its professionals is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience conducting research, analytical review, or investigative work
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
- Experience preparing business communications, documentation, or presentations
- Experience coordinating multiple requests and tracking workflow in a risk-management, compliance, audit, or professional services environment
- Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting independence, conflicts, or regulatory compliance processes
- Experience working with audit engagement teams or cross-functional stakeholder groups
- Experience assessing services, relationships, or fact patterns for risk categorization
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63000 to $116000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
