Work You’ll Do
As a Lead Software Engineer II on the Human Services Transformation team, you will be responsible for:
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements, interface specifications, process flows, and design documentation for system enhancement efforts.
- Assess impacts of proposed changes to existing system functionality, interfaces, downstream processes, and integrated workflows.
- Support quality assurance activities, including test planning, test case review, defect analysis, and validation of requirements traceability.
- Develop analysis, recommendations, status updates, and project deliverables for client and project leadership review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support solution design, issue resolution, and implementation planning for Medicaid eligibility and enrollment platform enhancements.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, public administration, health administration, or policy
- 6+ years of experience supporting software delivery, systems analysis, or functional design for complex technology implementations
- 4+ years of experience creating functional requirements, interface documentation, design specifications, process flows, or traceability artifacts
- 1+ years of experience supporting health and human services, Medicaid, or eligibility and enrollment system initiatives
- 1+ years of experience supporting quality assurance activities, defect analysis, or test validation
- Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting Medicaid eligibility and enrollment platforms for Non-MAGI populations
- Experience supporting State health and human services technology programs
- Experience evaluating impacts of system changes across interfaces, business rules, and integrated workflows
- Experience producing interface specifications, data mapping documents, and functional design artifacts
- Experience presenting analysis, recommendations, and deliverables to client stakeholders
- Experience leading workstreams or mentoring analysts, engineers, or project team members
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,000 to $252,500.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
