AI Creative Lead
Key Responsibilities
The Dell Creative Studio team produces breakthrough creative work at global scale — for one of the world’s most recognized brands — and does it by putting technology at the center of how that work gets made. The AI Creative Lead operates like an art director with the fluency of a builder: leading creative concept development while using AI to move from idea to finished deliverable across more directions, and at more speed, than was previously possible.
This role suits someone genuinely curious — energized by tools that didn’t exist last year, restless with “how we’ve always done it,” and as comfortable chasing a craft detail as chasing a new technique. You’re opinionated about the work but open-minded about the methods, and you’d rather figure out what’s newly possible than wait to be told.
- Lead concept development across projects, setting creative direction and bringing a strong, differentiated point of view.
- Shape how the organization thinks about AI in creative work — bringing clear vision and deep command of where and how it adds value, where craft still leads, and how the two combine.
- Pioneer new creative approaches that AI makes possible — unlocking ideas, formats, and executions that weren’t feasible before.
- Work fluidly at every scale of the work — from complete assets to individual creative fragments and components — creating, modifying, iterating, and finishing as the project demands, to a polished professional standard.
- Stay ahead of a fast-moving landscape — exploring new AI tools as they emerge and setting the standard for how they’re used to make exceptional creative work.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate their goals — and the need for speed — into creative output, using AI to get there.
- Steward quality, brand consistency, and the rights/ethical considerations that come with AI-generated content.
- Maintain creative momentum, anticipating and resolving production issues before they escalate.
Essential Requirements
- Strong creative sensibility with a proven ability to evaluate, direct, and elevate creative work.
- Ability to produce high-quality content quickly using AI, with the skill to get the best results from available models, even when preferred tools or access are restricted.
- Deep, current fluency with generative AI tools across your medium — plus the craft to take their output the last mile: catching where AI falls short, and refining imagery, video, and voiceover so the final work feels intentional and unmistakably human.
- Hands-on experience with leading AI models and creative tools — including Adobe, Google, Jasper, Claude, and Synthesia — and the adaptability to master new ones as the landscape shifts.
- A track record of pushing creative methods forward — developing new approaches, not just applying existing ones.
- An experimental mindset that runs ahead of the curve — you don’t just adopt new tools quickly, you probe what they make newly possible, and you aren’t attached to any single one.
- Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written, and presentation — including the ability to bring others along and influence without authority.
- A portfolio demonstrating both creative judgment and command of AI tools, ideally with visible process rather than only polished end results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience owning creative concept development on significant projects or campaigns — agency, studio, or in-house.
- A track record of inventing new creative formats or approaches with AI — work that others go on to build from.
- Fluency across more than one creative medium (e.g., still, motion, design, copy), or the range to direct across them.
- Some familiarity with the rights, licensing, and provenance landscape around AI-generated content.
