SUMMARY
Responsible for designing and analyzing mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging. They conduct feasibility studies, testing, prototype fabrication, and collaborate with other teams to create products that meet technical specifications and cost requirements. Additionally, they oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical systems, ensuring quality and efficiency.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Designs, analyzes, documents, and functionally validates mechanical components and assemblies
- Conducts and participates in engineering tests to validate the robustness and proper performance of new products
- Interfaces w/suppliers, electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, tooling engineering, and other development groups to ensure the successful development and launch of new products
- Utilizes best-in-class tools to develop innovative solutions to highly complex problems
- Responsible for the mechanical detail design of assigned components
- Responsible for testing, analysis, and debugging on assigned mechanical prototypes
- Contributes to the successful management and development of mechanical tooling and first sample delivery
- Ensures that comprehensive qualification and subsequent tool revisions are completed, and deliverables are met per program schedules
