Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager - Electrical to lead and deliver electrical engineering packages for mission-critical data center projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge overseeing power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and electrical safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end electrical scope of data center projects including HV/LV power distribution, UPS, switchgear, generators, and associated systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, construction, operations) and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, vendors) to ensure project alignment.
- Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools.
- Ensure adherence to electrical engineering best practices, local codes, safety standards, and client-specific guidelines.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure quality, safety, and productivity on site.
- Track project costs, approve invoices, and manage change orders.
- Conduct regular site visits, project status meetings, and coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project reports.
- Provide technical expertise in resolving electrical-related issues and propose improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5-8 years of electrical project management experience, ideally within data center or mission-critical projects.
- Expert knowledge of MV/LV electrical distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear.
- Familiarity with local codes and international standards.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Knowledge of energy efficiency measures and sustainable design practices.
- Effective communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work on-site and travel as needed.
- Previous experience working in fast growing, international environments.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
