Job Summary
The Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead recruitment strategy and execution for data center and mission-critical talent across Hong Kong and the broader APAC region. This role focuses on attracting highly specialized talent in areas such as data center construction, engineering, operations, and critical infrastructure. The position requires deep market knowledge of Hong Kong’s competitive talent landscape, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to build scalable hiring strategies for both project-based and long-term growth needs.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Develop and execute targeted hiring strategies for data center roles, including construction, MEP engineering, commissioning, operations, and facilities management
- Partner with business leaders to support expansion plans, new builds, and ongoing operations in Hong Kong and APAC
- Build talent pipelines for niche and hard-to-fill roles in mission-critical environments
Recruitment Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for technical and non-technical roles within the data center space
- Drive proactive sourcing strategies (headhunting, market mapping, referrals) for specialized talent pools
- Ensure efficient hiring processes with a strong focus on candidate experience in a competitive market
Market Intelligence & Advisory
- Provide insights on Hong Kong and regional talent markets, including salary benchmarks, talent availability, and competitor hiring trends
- Advise hiring managers on realistic hiring timelines and strategies for scarce skill sets (e.g., MEP, commissioning engineers, data center operations)
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, project directors, and hiring managers
- Support workforce planning for new data center builds and capacity expansion
- Collaborate with regional HR teams across APAC
Process Optimization & Technology
- Enhance recruitment processes, ATS utilization, and reporting dashboards
- Drive data-driven recruitment decisions using metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and pipeline conversion rates
Employer Branding & Talent Pipeline
- Strengthen employer branding within the data center and engineering talent community
- Build partnerships with industry associations, contractors, and technical institutions
- Represent the company at industry events and networking forums in Hong Kong and the region
Compliance & Local Practices
- Ensure hiring practices comply with Hong Kong labor laws and regulations
- Maintain best practices in employment contracts, data privacy, and candidate handling
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 8–12+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with proven experience hiring for data center, construction, engineering, or mission-critical roles
- Strong understanding of Hong Kong’s talent market and hiring landscape
- Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring hard-to-fill technical roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting data center operators, hyperscalers, or colocation providers
- Regional hiring experience across APAC (e.g., Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan)
- Familiarity with MEP, critical infrastructure roles, and project-based hiring cycles
- Experience using ATS platforms (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse)
Key Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in technical recruiting and headhunting
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Market intelligence and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly competitive talent market
- Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus)
- Strong networking capability within Hong Kong’s construction and data center ecosystem
Work Environment
- Hybrid work environment based in Hong Kong
