As a CATIA Application Developer (m/f/d) you will join the CATIA R&D team in charge of Conceptual Design products in Berlin, Germany.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of Dassault Systèmes worldwide R&D and to participate in the CATIA software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, software design, software implementation, as well as unit test development and execution.
Our software enables engineers to create and manage concept geometry CAD models and automatically generate simulation-ready models for Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE). These models are used for structural simulations, including crashworthiness and stiffness analyses, helping engineers accelerate vehicle and product development.
Role Description & Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development of intelligent tools that support engineers throughout the modeling process, improve automation
and enable more efficient and intuitive user workflows.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, CAD/CAE specialists, and product managers to design, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions that combine modern software engineering with AI technologies.
• Take responsibility of technical activities across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, and unit testing.
• Ensure software quality and best engineering practices.
• Support team members in delivering high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications
• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of professional experience strongly required.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ development.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Interest in or experience with AI technologies, such as Large Language Models, prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, or machine learning.
• Knowledge about Test Driven Development.
• Knowledge with Windows and Linux development environments such as MS Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code.
• Experience with CAD, FEM, or geometric modeling is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
