The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing spearheads seasonal strategy to scale CB2 iInterior design, Trade services, and DEI initiatives through high-impact collaborations and promotions. This pivotal role drives growth and retention by crafting compelling content and managing seamless execution to capture new audiences and engage loyal customers.
This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Chicago, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
A day in the life of a Senior Manager, Brand Marketing...
Serve as the Brand Manager and Content Strategist for CB2 annual, seasonal, and supplemental content planning specifically for CB2 interior design services and CB2 Trade
Manage the marketing content strategy including the editorial planning calendar that informs channel marketing and cross channel asset development to support interior design services and CB2 Trade
Manage marketing non-working (content and partnerships) budget to drive the CB2 business and track progress against those plans, prioritizing growth in design and Trade segments
Lead the development of sound strategic communication plans based on clear understandings of the objectives
Lead cross functional teams across Marketing, Creative, Media and Ecommerce to ensure our brand message is being communicated clearly and effectively across all channels to our consumers
Oversee promotional communications strategy in strong partnership with Planning and Merchandising to lead cross functional teams to ensure messaging supports the CB2 Trade and design services business strategy
Lead content briefings including developing the brief, inspiring great work and keeping the team on time and on budget. Oversee creative development of all marketing materials to support relevant marketing
Spearhead the strategic development and execution of direct mail initiatives to expand the brand’s customer base and drive revenue growth
Analyze data, both internal and external, to determine areas of improvement in order to grow market share
Research competitive programs and marketing initiatives.
Partner with the Ecommerce team to create online customer experiences that provide the best branded shopping experience
Partner with merchants to ensure product assortment serves the needs of our customer, and to identify opportunities to promote specific product for our various segments
Understand customer needs and trends for CB2 segments, with a focus on B2B and design clients, to develop long-term customer relationships
Build strong relationships with branded vendors to drive collaborative marketing planning and execution for CB2 interior design and Trade services
Manage all aspects of performance, development and recognition for a direct report to encourage professional growth
Lead and maintain execution oversight for relevant virtual and in-person events pertaining to the CB2 Trade and design services
Strategically plan and execute high-impact brand events to foster deeper customer engagement and accelerate revenue growth
What you'll bring to the table...
Possesses experience developing creative, breakthrough content strategies for interior design or service-oriented brands
Ability to develop strong consumer lead strategies for interior design and B2B/Trade service offerings
Demonstrate strong command of media and broader advertising research resources, capabilities and limitations
Ability to internalize category product data and functionality
Understand customer needs and trends for customer segments in order to develop long-term customer relationships
Exceptional strategic and metrics-driven analytical skills at both the micro and macro levels
Innovate new methods to attract Trade and design customers to the brand including emerging technology and B2B marketing techniques
Strong presentation and written communication skills
Ability to simplify and structure complex and ambiguous problems

7+ years previous marketing and/or retail experience
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
Experience brainstorming successful content strategies
Experience managing a marketing vehicle such as digital media, Ecommerce, or social media
